Dental cleaning in Mexicali

A professional cleaning removes the tartar and plaque your toothbrush can't reach at home, and it is the simplest (and most affordable) way to prevent cavities and gum disease.

At Dr. Jesara López's office a cleaning is a complete treatment, unhurried and with no lectures: we check your mouth, remove the tartar and show you how to keep the results.

Frequently asked questions

How often should I get a dental cleaning?

Usually every 6 months. If you wear braces, have gum disease or build up tartar easily, every 3-4 months may be better; we'll tell you at your check-up.

Does a dental cleaning hurt?

Usually not. There may be mild sensitivity in areas with a lot of tartar or inflamed gums, and if you tell us we adjust the pace. Any discomfort goes away in a day or two.

Does cleaning damage or wear down the enamel?

No. Ultrasonic cleaning and polishing remove tartar and surface stains without harming the enamel. What does damage teeth is years of built-up tartar.

Can I pay in dollars?

Yes. You can pay in U.S. dollars or pesos, cash or card.

What care do I need afterwards?

Very little: avoid staining foods for the first few hours and keep up your normal hygiene. The doctor wrote a complete post-cleaning care guide.
